THE EXCITEMENT IS UNCONTAINABLE!
After the electric inspector okayed everything, Tyler called up the insulation crew. We decided on foam insulation to really make sure the house is buttoned up well. The company was able to come out two days after the phone call due to the unseasonably warm weather we are having this week. It was a Pedersen miracle!
Some of the insulation is an off-white color and some is Robin’s egg blue (ironically similar to the paint we found on the plaster on the main floor during demolition). We also had the rocks in the basement and the floor joyces insulated as well. So now our basement rock foundation looks like blue cotton candy. It’s pretty damn awesome.
Tyler took some video of the crew putting the insulation in the upstairs. However, he is new to the iPhone recording world and didn’t realize that if you hold the camera vertical the image distorts when transferred to a computer. So the perspective makes the crew look like smurfs.
And, me? Well, I was SO HAPPY about the insulation that I decided to record myself on the ukelele and dust off my iMovie application to put together a little project.
I hope you enjoy!
P.S. I know I’m not a terribly talented singer, and, in fact, I have a vibrato speed that rivals most anyone (I can’t control it). But it’s good practice to make myself do little recordings, this isn’t meant to show any prowess, because, let’s face it, I don’t have any. It’s just fun. And a ukelele. Ukeleles are fun.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed seeing how the house is coming together. I also enjoyed your singing.
I remember a year ago when you sang for Grandma. She enjoyed it so much and I feel very lucky that we happened to be there too.
Love, Jeanne
I love that your email has “Kangley” in it, Jeanne. I’ve been thinking about her a lot recently.
Party at the Pedersens soon!
I love the insulation video and the Beatles song!
