Construction, House and Acreage Restoration

Moving Air

The trees were unbelievably beautiful today. There was heavy fog that froze the moisture on the branches. And all the branches seemed to be covered in a brilliant white glitter that radiated as the sun touched it.

Switching topics completely…..

My 91-year old grandmother has told me on multiple occasions that she doesn’t understand how a phone call can travel through the air across the country between cell phones with no cord attached. Quite honestly Grandma, I don’t understand how it works even when there are cords!!!! So trying to post about the “guts” of the house is slightly horrifying and intimidating.

On today’s post, I am simply going to show you pictures of the HVAC system. Which I can tell you is how air from the furnace travels throughout the house. There are these round metallic snakes that run through the house and are attached to a main square shaft that attaches to the furnace. That’s it. I know nothing more. Much of the running of the snakes has been accomplished, but more had to be ordered, so that part is not quite done.

This is my favorite view. I got up in the rafters…awesome.

Also, I just made up those names. Square stacker, metallic snakes-not surprisingly are probably not what any of that is called. But I was hoping to get a chuckle out of Mr. P. I’ll let you all know next time if that worked out.
