Deconstruction, House and Acreage Restoration

Don’t Let Me Down

Remember when I said the demolition was done? Well, maybe not quite.

A brilliant idea, by way of the softest drummer in the history of man-kind, got the fella thinking. Why not add another addition on top of the creepy addition to make more square footage in the upstairs?

Umm…yes please?

Here’s the background on that. Our property is zoned “light industrial.” Therefore, technically, you aren’t suppose to build a house on said property. But since our house already exists, it is grandfathered in. But that does, however, mean we can’t add to the footprint of the house without doing a bunch of legal stuff (if I’m understanding it all correctly). So, we can fix the existing house, just not add on. With a small house (albeit we don’t need anything too fancy) you end up getting creative with the space.

Now, why don’t you just change the zoning?

Well, we don’t want to do that because we want to be able to build an awesome music studio and Tyler would like a shop large enough for all his woodworking and metal machinery. If we want that to happen…then the zoning we currently have is the perfect option.

And now, here is a video of Tyler ripping apart part of the addition.
